Garment Draping (week 11- week 14)

  Week 11 Lecture/ Practical/ Tutorial: 15/06/2023 On the 11th week, I worked on my look two where a lot of alterations needed to be made, I decided to place a cup on the bust of the dummy to trace out my pattern drape for the look two.  Before I started cutting my actual fabric, I made a toile first to see and review the fit of my second look by using calico fabric.  The above picture is the cutting out of my second look once I was satisfied with how my toile came out.  Week 12 Lecture/ Practical/ Tutorial: 22/06/2023     The above picture is the cutting out of the lining for the look two.  The pictures shown above is the process of making up of the garment and attaching of the lining.  Back view of the week 11 progress.  While I was working on my look 2 for week 11, I was also doing all the detail works for my look 1, I had to decide on the placement of my textures on my look 1.  Week 13 Lecture/ Practical/ Tutorial: 29/06/2023 By week...

Garment Draping (week 8 - week 10)

  Week 08 Practical/Lecture/ Tutorial : 25/05/2023 By Week 8, I had to already start working on my project 1. Mr Jasmi already told me that I will be selected for the show, therefore it was better for me to start draping and making my dress since I was working on a complicated one.  First, I taped the dummy for my first garment so that I will be able to drape my first look. Weekly Progress (week 1 - week 7)

Week 1 Lecture/ Tutorial/ Practical: 06/04/2023 Draping a SKIRT. First, the basics of how do we carry out the cutting out of a garment is explained. That is following the grainline.  after a clear understanding of the grainline and the cross grainline, the next task of making a draped skirt was carried out. lines were drawn onto the piece of fabric indicating the bust point, and the waist line.    The darts are eventually pinned accordingly after securing the center front of the fabric by double pinning it.  The same method and technique is carried on the back of the skirt.
